Privacy Policy

For TheStatusQ. Last updated 29 July 2026.

This page explains what happens to information when you visit TheStatusQ. It is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable, so if anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell anything on this site. Information reaches us in two ways.

Analytics and session activity

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it. That tool records page views and general interaction patterns such as scrolling and clicking. It is used to work out which parts of the site are useful and which are being ignored.

We do not use it to identify individual people, and we do not combine it with anything else to build a profile of you. If you would rather not be included, most browsers offer a do-not-track setting, and browser privacy extensions block this kind of script.

Cookies

Analytics tools of this kind set cookies or similar identifiers so a returning visit is not counted twice. You can clear or block them in your browser settings at any time. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

What we do not do

How long we keep things

Messages you send are kept as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted. Analytics data is kept on the analytics provider's standard retention schedule and is not exported or archived by us.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@thestatusq.io and we will respond within thirty days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law, and we will honour those on request whether or not the law formally applies to us.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
